In the last few years, a social movement for guys looking to expand their options when it comes to women by becoming “Pick up Artists”, has gotten a lot of attention. It has reached a wide audience through the VH1 channel’s show “The Pick-up Artist”, which features the self-proclaimed pick-up-master “Mystery” (aka Erik von Markovik) and a group of 8 guys that were admittedly socially inept and wanted to do something to change that for each of them – hopefully winning the coveted title of “Pick-up-Artist” and eradicating the “former inept image” they had had forever. Of course there were others who were in the business of the “pick-up-Artist” , some of the more notable names being Neil Strauss and Nick Savoy, who were business associates with Mystery in the “Mystery Method Corporation” venture before Mystery left to start his own company “Venusian Arts” in 2006, leaving his former partners to continue operating under the original name before changing it to “Love Systems” fairly recently.
