Pick Up Artists

A pick up artist (commonly simply abbreviated to ‘PUA’) is a man who identifies with a skillset associated with attracting women. The word “pick up artist” entered the mainstream when in 2005, Neil Strauss (PUA pseudonym: “Style”) released a book entitled ‘The Game’. The Game became a worldwide best seller, selling millions of copies worldwide. It follows the story of the author, from how he became an AFC (Average Frustrated Chump) to MasterPick Up Artist.

In 2007, from the reality television series, The Pick-up Artist, starring Mystery, a well-known pickup artist from the seduction community. The Pick-up Artist has since aired its second season, and there are also a number of PUA related movies currently in development. In Europe the term became more widely known with the release of a Channel 4 documentary called The Rules of Seduction, which examines the British PUA culture looking at the background and motivations of both the PUA coaches and their clients. In this documentary, the film starred pick up artist Adam Lyons (AFC Adam).

The Vegas Super Conference was considerably cooler than I expected. I had assumed it to be nothing more than a glorified Boot Camp. I was wrong. Though they all teach Magic Bullets, they all bring their unique tastes and experiences to evolving the material. And as each instructor took his turn at the podium to present on a library of subjects, their unique teaching styles were made apparent.

Braddock & Mr.M’s Teasing & Bantering: Big takeaway from this was that humor, like every other ‘muscle,’ needs to be trained to get good. And a really good way to train the brain to tease is to mind-map/script conversations with a woman. Any time you see a woman on the street, take stock in her characteristics that might reveal something about her. Assume them to be true. For instance, she could dress like she’s a runway model. And then practice teasing (not negging!) in your mind. With time, this skill will become passive.

Day Game Field Report

I was a little surprised when Jessica asked me to teach her kid day game. I told her I thought he was a little young, but she was insistent on giving him a head start and I’m not one to turn down money being thrown at me. She volunteered to pay my round-trip ticket from Colombia and also threw in a little bonus in case Jack went potty on himself during the workshop. He’s almost a year old.

The workshop started in the coffee shop with three hours of lecture material. It’s there that I felt that Jack wasn’t really comprehending my teachings. He couldn’t stay focused and sobbed loudly through much of the session, drawing dirty looks from many patrons who probably assumed I was his father. He definitely went potty on himself and with the help of Starbucks personnel I got him cleaned up and ready for the hands-on session where he would chat with girls.

I asked him multiple times if he was ready for the approaches, but he would just give me blank stares while smashing his Spongebob Squarepants toy on the table. I took that for a yes.

He wasn’t exhibiting any approach anxiety (suggesting a possible natural ability), and opened an extremely attractive young 20-something girl next to our table. He completely blew the line I taught him, instead mouthing off gibberish that even I couldn’t understand, but unbelievably it worked and she turned her body completely to face him with a giant smile. She complimented his appearance and touched him immediately and incessantly, something that has never happened to me in coffee shops. For taking absolutely no notes during the lecture portion (instead he gnawed on the pen I lent him), his first approach was proceeding quite splendidly.

The girl tried to lift him up for some reason and that’s when we both noticed that he went potty on himself again. I figured the approach was over and we’d have to leave, but she cleaned him up with some moist toilettes left over from the last time he went potty and resumed playing with him. I was in total disbelief that his technique was working, and started furiously taking notes on what I was observing. The girl eventually gave me her number, telling me to call the next time Jack wanted to play. Weird thing is Jack never asked for her number, and it’s here that I suspected Jack was using an inner game technique.

Beckster PUA

Master Instructor of Social Interactions is British Pick Up Artist and Seduction Trainer Rob Beckster. Beckster joined the Game at the age of 19, after reading Ross Jeffries newsletter. Beckster started practicing pick up and after many years of fails and success finally gained the reputation as a top seducer of London. Now being 31 years old Beckster has been is a Game for 12 years, and 6 of them he has worked as a pick up trainer.

Today Beckster is regarded by many as one of the best seducer in Europe. Currently based in London Beckster is full time pick up trainer teaching on Workshop in UK, Ireland, Germany, Sweden, Finland, USA and Dubai.

ABC’s of Attraction

I randomly came across Kevin’s PUA workshop post on APB’s blog a few weeks back. Interesting I thought, but I never pictured myself going to one of these things! That all changed after a disappointing night out. I mean I was at a bar filled with sets just waiting to be opened, and there I was, paralyzed by my approach anxiety. The next day, I emailed Kevin with some questions and he got back to me immediately. That convinced me to sign up, and the next thing I knew, I was in Hollywood, meeting Kevin and Greg. Kevin said up front, that this was the first workshop of its kind. His main concern was for the students to get a lot out of it, and more importantly, to have a great experience. Boy was it an experience! The workshop was 2 nights, and each night we had 2 hours of lecture, a break, and 4 hours in-field

Approach Anxiety Part 2

Accept.
Accept you have a fear. You realise that you want to improve yourself and do something to help you meet your ideal partner. You have a fear whatever it is and you’re looking to get over it. Buying this book is the first step towards wanting to do something, but it doesn’t mean anything if you aren’t willing to action the processes you’re learning. In this way Accept could also translate into action. As you need to actually do the things you accept you want to change.

Exercise.
Develop an exercise to help you get over your fears. Focus your mind on your breathing, take a long slow count of ten while slowly and steadily breathing in and out. Concentrate on your own breathing, he sounds of your breath and the motion of your lungs instead of the fearful situation to hand. This will give you something to help you focus when you’re exposed to a fearful situation.

When Day Gaming, the direct approach works the best. Asking a woman the time or ‘who lies more’ does more to show your transparent attempt to Game her than it benefits you. You’re approaching her on a crowded street in the middle of the day: she knows what you want. You might as well get credit for being bold when doing so.
